    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I couldn't ask for a better law firm to work for.

  • I felt completely included and part of the team after only a couple of days.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had 3 supervisors and between them they always made sure I had enough to be doing.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I never felt under pressure to get lots of things done, but I was aware of the practice group's workload so I was kept motivated to get through work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given research work that was to be sent out nationwide, but everything I did was double-checked so that I wasn't under too much pressure.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It's a starting step - there is a lot more to learn, but I learned very valuable skills that will be used every day in a law firm.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere is fantastic. People are working hard, but there's no stress; people get on with it and joke about at the same time.

  • Great structure, but flexible at the same time.

  • The placement was only for 2 weeks, but a lot was invested in us in that time.

  • I would love a job here!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There are good relationships between people and sports teams which we can join. Perfect.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I worked where I live normally so no change.

  • Glasgow is a vibrant city with lots happening at all times.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • In two weeks there wasn't much chance, but working there full time there are sports clubs and sometimes social evenings/events.
