  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Sometimes a little sparse where some people worked from home on certain days, but when people were around it was good fun. Lots of placement students nearby too.

  • My manager suggested I treat the placement year like a year-long interview, which I did. I then used the experience to secure a graduate role.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were around 40 of us in my year, many of whom I'm still great friends with.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Based in Winchester. Not especially cheap, but not London prices.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Winchester was good on select nights, but Southampton was also quite nearby for more options.

  • More clubs and societies than you could shake a stick at!
