    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was fully integrated into the department from day one, and felt valued even when doing the smallest or simplest of tasks. By the second week of the two-week placement I was given harder work to do, which was great as it was a challenge.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was fully integrated into the department from day one, and felt valued even when doing the smallest or simplest of tasks. By the second week of the two-week placement I was given harder work to do, which was great as it was a challenge.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I felt like I could ask even the smallest of questions, although I was not spoon-fed and was given independence.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy, but as I am used to wokring in a busy office-environment I was able to delegate and time manage to get the best out of my time at the firm.

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Much of what I did was only in draft form, but I felt that I was given responsibity in the tasks I was asked to do.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Everything I have learnt about the way in which a law firm operates will be invaluable in my future career. I feel more fully equipped to answer questions in an interview based on my experiences here.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was busy and serious when it needed to be, but also very interactive and fun - the time flew by!

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Every stage of the placement was planned and the supervisors had obviously been well briefed and gave us lots of work to do.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They took time to interview us ans assess us, and included talks from every department to give us an idea of the firm as a whole, not just the snapshot of the department we worked in.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
