Overview
The first day involved strengths and networking training as well as overviews for GM and GB. The second day was a full day of technical training, learning about valuation methods. The third day was talks from varying desks from GB, followed by a networking session. The last day was an Assessment Centre for the Summer Internship.
Skills
I learnt how to value companies using DCFs, LBOs and Comps, as well as how to network.
Business Insight
It opened my eyes as to the different roles in Global Banking - as opposed to just the traditional M and A desk that most people know about.
Culture
I found the culture very friendly, but could not compare it to other banks as I have not been exposed to them, but the people I met during the networking session were very informative, helpful and patient
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it, I think being in such an intimate group of 13 really helped me enjoy it to the maximum, as the training felt very individual. I also learnt a lot of skills I can hopefully apply to the industry.
Yes
Make the most of the networking opportunities and the training, as it’s very high quality and you can meet lots of interesting people.
