    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As a recruitment consultant, I would start my day by creating new adverts for jobs and posting them on the relevant job boards. Once completed, I would then start to review the CV applications which I received overnight and pick out the candidates I believe would match the job role, I would then call / email the candidates to register my interest and book in an interview. The afternoon would mainly consist of running through the compliance for each candidate that had been successful in the interview process, so I would be collecting documents etc for them to pass.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • In many cases, the goal of an internship is to provide a learning experience while contributing to the company's work. Therefore, while you might not be given as much responsibility as a full-time employee, you should expect to have tasks and projects that contribute to the organization in a meaningful way. It's essential to have open communication with your supervisor and express your interest in taking on more responsibility if you feel capable and comfortable doing so. This can often lead to opportunities to take on more challenging tasks during your internship.

It's a reminder that we don't have to go through life's trials and triumphs alone, and there is always an opportunity to learn, evolve, and thrive with the assistance and wisdom of others.
