  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

    • I would complete tasks set to me by my line managers. Sometimes the work was live or sometimes it was given to us to see how we handled the materials. I found the vast majority of the work to be very intellectually stimulating.

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

    • Very friendly and positive. The trainees were always very happy to help and would be proactive in checking that I was okay. The partners were also very approachable and happy to chat.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I enjoyed it a lot. I felt very settled very quickly, and made some genuine friends through other interns and employees at the firm who I am still in touch with now.

    • Make sure that you can demonstrate that you are genuinely passionate and interested in the firm and the role. After that, just put yourself out there and enjoy it. If you’re trying too hard people will notice.
