The Role
Really enoyed working here! Nice people, work is interesting and varied, and got to see loads of different sports cars!!
Really nice people working here who would always help you out if you were in need
Structured placement means you develop your skills from the beginning of placement and allows you to find your feet before starting any big programmes
Generally always had something to do, plenty of opportunities for overtime also
In charge of programs in excess of £250k, plenty of responsibility looking after expensive projects
Gave a realistic overview of what work will be like and allows me to focus on getting into the Automotive industry in the future
The Company
Always a good working atmoshpere, plenty of social events to get involved with
the structure of the placement is very well set up, with the 1st 6 months being spent hands on with the technicians, then moving up to the office with the engineers
Had regular training in different departments to ensure I was always on top of my game!
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I have been asked to stay on for an extra two months here and would really consider taking a full time job here if offered!
The Culture
There are about 100 different undergrad placement students so there are always a few people out on most weekends
I lived in Luton so it was quite expensive paying for fuel to drive to work everyday. Would be better to live close by to Millbrook.
Millbrook is in the middle of the country so there isn't many clubs close by, though its not far from Luton, Bedford and MK, as well as 40mins from London if you're looking for a big night out!!
Loads of opportunities with different sports clubs. I was involved with local saturday football team, as well as a Gaelic football team in the area
