Overview
Working in your project which involves a real-life problem the firm have. I had to identify cases where the extraction process of Investor Reports was failing. Additionally, there are multiple opportunities to network and have conversations with Managers and Global Heads.
Skills
Yes, coding in python, using Github in a working environment, working in a collaborative environment, receiving and actioning on feedback.
Responsibilities
You are given a real problem within your team which can actually have an important and tangible effect on the team's workflow. I would argue the internship's project has the potential to be very important.
Support & Guidance
You are assigned with a Mentor and Buddy which main function is to integrate you within the team and answer any question you may have. Additionally, any team member and employee is very willing to help if you reach out.
Culture
The environment is very collaborative and employees are very friendly and approachable. Having coffee chats or shadowing analyst tasks is a very common thing at Bloomberg.
