  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I would calculate values of people’s pensions converting between a lump sum and yearly payment. I would take into account many variables: life expectancy, likelihood to have a spouse, age and life expectancy of spouse etc.

  • I’ve learnt a lot more about actuarial assumptions and how they are used day to day. Also improved on general excel skills.
