The Role
Depending on which part of the year an 8 or a 2. There where several times when I was doing a very boring and repetitive work, however after speaking to my manager and some delay. I moved departments and was given much more worthwhile work.
A very good working community, everyone helps each other out.
What ever problems I had I would only need to speak to either my manager, a mentor or HR and they would help me out.
Often a good balance, however there have been extended periods of both being bored or too busy.
I was expecting to be much more supervisored, however I was given additional responsibility and this really helped me learn and develop.
This year has been a great help, for both returning to university to working as an engineer in the future.
The Company
I felt a good balance. Everyone would be able to joke around however when work was pressing or help was needed everyone would help out.
A good introduction into the company and the related company (Vauxhall), with assistance provided with housing and some social events were planned.
I have been given a lot of opportunities, although more formal training would have been good.
I have really enjoyed parts of my work and would continue to improve if I came back to work here.
The Culture
Plently of things happening with different groups of undergrads, only thing to be aware of is those staying in Bedford tended to be too far out to really get involved.
Housing was very cheap, although me and my flatmates got lucky. Without that, the cost would have been similar sort of price to those in other towns surrounding London.
Minimal, my department didn't do too much however there was enough going on else where that I and others could get involved with.
There was almost no opportunities for activites outside of work.
