Overview
Worked in Financial Regulation Group with my principal. Attended a series of timetabled talks and sessions. also attended socials and chats with various persons across different departments.
Skills
Yes, I developed my social and interpersonal skills. I also developed analytic and research skills required for advisory, transactional and contentious work. I learnt and developed commercial awareness and the ability to understand the client and current market conditions.
Business Insight
It was insightful and a source of excitement discovering and exploring the various roles available across different departments and the potential secondments available at Linklaters. Moreover, it was beneficial in seeing the bigger picture of how a global law firm manages various kinds of tasks at once cross border.
Culture
The culture was accommodating and friendly; it was easy to reach out to people across different senior levels and talk to them. furthermore, support was available through out the vacation scheme with regards to any work or challenges.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it to a high degree. The work assigned was engaging and exciting, and the skills exercised during those tasks are ones that i enjoy practicing and applying.
