Overview
The explore BDO programme gave an insight into working in the professional services as well as gaining more knowledge on the different sectors in accounting and finance we were also given the chance to ask any questions we had. We were given an overview of the programme. we then had a peer networking session kind of like an icebreaker. We then had a panel where we were given the opportunity to ask questions to explore BDO alumni. We also had informational sessions about advisory audit and tax and also sessions on personal brand and commercial awareness. We were also given a group task.
Skills
I was able to develop my networking and communication skills through networking with peers and also employees from BDO. The group project and mentoring session were very helpful in doing this.
Business Insight
It was an amazing programme for exploring different sectors and gaining knowledge in order to aid a decision on what sector you want to work in for accounting.
Culture
Everyone was very nice and open to helping out and answering any questions. They were very easy to speak to.
