    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Looking to provide excellent customer service from the first interaction to the last. Leaving Managing revenue and growth of the branch by taking on individual captaincy roles. Handling admin work, ensuring your business and your day is running smooth. Delivering and collecting cars from customers. Marketing runs to our assigned accounts and any new businesses that can help us grow. Allocation of specialist and commercial vehicles to generate revenue.

  • Learnt how to deal with difficult situations with on the spot thinking and finding a viable solution where the customer is happy. Time management skills. Presentation and speaking skills, presenting in an office based environment to managers. Critical and creative thinking skills. Financial skills. Use of Microsoft Office.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Was given multiple captaincy roles throughout the year, these rotate every 2 months amongst team members in the branch. These could include anything from marketing, risk management, growth, sales and service. I also had the responsibility of managing and allocating commercial and specialist vehicles to 30 branches in central city, with the aims of generating revenue.

  • I received full support from all my team members, management higher up and HR. Everyone is very welcoming and always happy to help, no matter the question.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Very fun and friendly. Everyone is very welcoming, helping you to settle in very smoothly. You realise how quickly you can be yourself and have a great time working with your team on a day to day basis. Everyone is treated with respect in a multi cultural environment, respecting all faiths and backgrounds.

  • Be yourself. You need to be willing to work hard as there are great opportunities to progress quickly in the company. After all, Enterprise Rent A Car rewards hard work!
