    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Delivering and collecting cars to our business customers, marketing to our corporate accounts to boost the number of business rentals; serving customers at branch to help them into cars as well as helping returning customers. I have a large variety of responsibilities and continue to grow my skills in order to strive for promotion as a manager.

  • I have thrived in developing existing skills that are crucial to the workplace; communication and team work are an essential skill that I have very much developed over the last year in assisting my colleagues, especially as I have become more experienced as I have become more of a team leader through helping the new starters find their feet and explaining the various procedures we act on as a business.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, I was given more and more responsibility as I progressed in my training through roles such as service captain, fuel captain as I managed the many fuel transactions we have on a daily basis, and more recently I have become risk captain, sending weekly risk reports to my head of risk and showing how I can make an impact on affecting this in a positive way.

  • The support I received was unimaginable. When working for a corporate company such as Enterprise I was worries that I would not get the support and guidance necessary for me to achieve, however that couldn't be further from the truth!

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Amazing! You have to make your own atmosphere but working with likeminded individuals made that more than easy.

  • I really enjoyed it! The hours may be longer than a traditional 9-5, but the experience and knowledge gained was unmatchable.

  • Give it your all! Due to promotions not given purely for how long you have been with the company, the more work you put in the more it pays off.
