Overview
My role was to help with the day to day logistics and running of my branch. This included serving a wide variety of customer producing excellent customer service, selling insurance cover to achieve sales targets, help the business grow by marketing new and existing accounts.
Skills
I have seriously developed my communication and management skills through dealing with a wide variety of characters during my tenure. I have also improved my customer service skills, particularly honing in on excellence at every level
Responsibilities
During the placement you get given responsibility straight away and this steadily increases throughout the year until your running the operations of the entire branch. This all comes with excellent training and support so you never feel in over your head
Support & Guidance
The onboarding process is very helpful as your given lots of initial training, as well as a 3, 5 and 7 month follow up training sessions. you're always supported by your colleagues, and line manager with lots of people you can turn to as well as a personal mentor
Culture
Company culture is very friendly almost like one big family where everyone's gets along, with the aim of having a laugh and fun whilst at work. the work atmosphere is one where we are all driven and motivated to hit our goals but also we can have a laugh and a chat as well
Your Impressions
I loved it. I was constantly supported by my colleague making great friendships, and learnt many valuable lessons and skills which i can utilise in the working world
Yes
VERY FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT WITH LOTS OF WORK TO DO, HOWEVER THE WORK IS VERY EASY. IT REALLY IMPROVES YOUR TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND OPENS MANY DOORS.
