    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My marketing role covers both Redken haircare on e-commerce and Redken Colour on direct and indirect. At the start of the week, I normally conduct an audit on all of our e-retailers. Checking for possible optimisations on brand hubs, pdps, etc. On e-commerce, the projects that I mostly lead on every cycle are NPD launches. I lead on ensuring all product information and assets are up and running by launch time. This includes asset creating and localisations, working very closely with our designers. Tracking when stock comes in with the Supply team and planning on possible campaigns for said NPD, e.g. Sampling Campaigns, Discovery Sets etc. On Redken Colour, I focus our NPD launches on Loreal Partner Shop, creating seamless customer journeys by creating banners, pop ups, brand/offer pages. I also assist with the social and education team in masterclasses with coming up with messaging and banner designs. One of the projects that I had the opportunity of working on is our new RAN Series on TikTok called 'That Summer I turned Blonde'. I led on launching said series on LPS by creating set bundles and ensuring it goes live at the same time as it launches on TikTok. Coordinating with the Social team.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • throughout the year, I have learnt basic photoshop skills, how to read basic data and pick out key insights and come up with strategies for the upcoming cycle. Another important skill i have developed this year is managing expectation, and that its okay to say 'no' and ask for help.
