Overview
The two-day programme started with getting to know some people via a welcome webinar the week before which was really helpful in calming my nerves. We looked at personal development and focused on what their competencies are and how to develop them. We got to plan and present a short teaching episode to a small number of other participants. There were opportunities throughout to chat to ambassadors and learn more about their training programme.
Skills
We had the opportunity to develop interaction and planning skills via the teaching episode. There were specific sessions dedicated to learning more about the company and understanding their vision. There other sessions dedicated to debate skills and how to be a good leader. Also a session on wellbeing, both for now and in future careers which was really helpful and interesting.
Business Insight
A lot of pathways were really clearly laid out, both as a teacher and in a corporate world. They discussed how the skills developed through their training could help in several different careers.
Culture
Everyone seemed really friendly and happy to be there and talk to us. Really got the message across that these people are all connected through a shared vision which was really lovely to see.
