  • My job at Mace as an ICT Assistant entails helping the company's information and communication technology systems with technical support and assistance. I am in charge of handling user questions and resolving technical problems with regard to network connectivity, hardware, and software on a daily basis. This entails identifying issues, determining their underlying causes, and putting effective remedies in place. Additionally, I help with software updates, computer system setup and maintenance, and IT infrastructure performance and security monitoring.

  • During my time as an ICT Assistant at Mace, I have had the opportunity to learn and develop various skills. I have enhanced my technical proficiency in areas such as computer hardware troubleshooting, software installation and configuration, and network troubleshooting. I have also gained experience in managing user accounts, data backups, and system security protocols. Additionally, I have improved my communication and problem-solving skills through interacting with users and addressing their IT-related concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

    Responsibilities

  • Yes, I was given a significant level of responsibility during my placement as an ICT Assistant at Mace. I was entrusted with independently handling user support requests and resolving technical issues. I was responsible for managing and prioritizing multiple tasks, ensuring that critical issues were addressed promptly. Additionally, I had the opportunity to contribute to IT projects, such as system upgrades and implementations, where I was given specific responsibilities and deliverables. This level of responsibility allowed me to develop my decision-making abilities and build confidence in my technical skills.

  • I had a great time working as an ICT Assistant at Mace. The position enabled me to put my technical knowledge to use in a practical environment and gave me invaluable hands-on experience in the field of IT assistance. I enjoyed my work because it involved fixing complicated IT issues and assisting users with their technical challenges. I like the placement overall because of the friendly work environment and the chance to use a range of technology.

  • My recommendation for people making their application to Mace is to highlight your technical expertise and teamwork prowess. Be sure to highlight your capacity for problem-solving and your openness to learning about and adjusting to new technology. Highlight any prior IT support or similar experience you may have had, and give examples of your customer service abilities. Research the business and its endeavours as well to demonstrate a sincere interest in their work. Be ready to provide concrete instances of how you have handled situations in interviews.
