Overview
Serve customers by showing them around vehicles and informing them of fuel and excess policies so they know what they need to know about the rental. Deliver and collect cars from different locations. Answer phones and manage reservations.
Skills
Customer service. Sales. Problem resolution. Logistical operations. Business management.
Responsibilities
Given different captaincies to be in charge of and manage. Helped develop new starters with the knowledge I gained. Ran the branches fleet.
Support & Guidance
I received a mentor, he was promoted and then I wasn’t allocated another. I didn’t have a one to one with my area manager. I had regular one to ones with my branch manager. The team I worked with were exceptional in terms of how much effort and time they put into developing me.
Culture
A very positive culture. Customer orientated. The team work in the branch is unbelievable and the best part of the job.
Your Impressions
I developed and learnt an exceptional amount. Work life balance has been a struggle as the hours can be long. Overall as a placement I am taking a lot away from it and have developed a great deal of professional and personal competence from the role.
