    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Your day will consist of being in the office and being out on the road delivering and collecting cars in your area. This mostly consists of corporate customers and insurance customers. Day to day you will be serving customers and creating sales to generate more profit. When serving this customers you are required to give the best customer service. Marketing within the week is essential to meet new companies and existing companies to retain that professional and healthy relationship between the two.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • My confidence has increased massively since starting with enterprise, before enterprise I was shy and nervous when speaking to new people however now I am the most bubbly person to anyone new and happy to have any conversation. My communication skills have sky rocketed due to being able to talk to many different people for different reasons, this helps many skills such as leadership which is essential within the business when managing the day with employees.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes , during my placement I have been given many responsibilities such as training new interns/graduates, managing the day/fleet to ensure everything goes smoothly. Captaincy roles are given out which change most months so you are in charge of separate areas such as sales, risk, corporate and fuel. These areas are essential to get right and improve in which is why you manage these separate areas within the branch to strengthen the skills and knowledge.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • During my placement, i have had support from many different areas within the business such as HR, branch managers, area managers, risk department. Everyone within the business supports you from your fellow colleagues up to the top employees who will help with anything that you need. From when I got offered the job i received support such as meeting my colleagues and hr team before actually starting which helps with calming the nerves and making new employees more comfortable

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The companies culture and atmosphere is great. We have such a great diversity, inclusion and equity team where we got to go to many events such as pride parade, charity events like bake sales, badminton/football events. As a business we have so many employees from different ethnic backgrounds in different positions. As a company we have many opportunities for everyone. Being involved in all these events are great for yourself and your future career

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I have enjoyed my placement, there’s so many opportunity and contacts within the business. I have taken every opportunity to increase all my contacts and my social skills. I have increased so many skills for my future career from working within enterprise and knowing that i have this secured after i finish university is such a great achievement. I have made so many friends within enterprise who i will be friends with forever thank fully

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
  • I would say to anyone applying to enterprise to take every opportunity that you get given. This will improve your skills and knowledge throughout the internship and create so many contacts outside of the business. Always say yes and have a happy and positive to everything making sure you keep a well balanced work-life balanced ensuring you are happy within the business. Be friendly to everyone as everyone is your friend throughout the whole business
