Skills
I have learnt many new technical skills, improved my academic writing and presentation skills and learnt about people skills, especially in the world of work
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility and independence during my placement, I was left to plan, run, present and write-up my experiments.
Support & Guidance
I have received a lot of support and guidance throughout my placement in the form a mentor, online courses and from my line manager
Culture
company culture is really great, everyone is really open and happy to help and have a conversation with you. The atmosphere, especially since moving to the new lab is great, there is a lovely buzz around the building.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement quite a lot, I was part of a great team with a really interesting project and generally what I do each day is different, which is very stimulating and makes the work even more enjoyable
Yes
Be authentic, ask questions and don't be afraid to message different people in the company for meetings to ask them about their experiences. It is a great place and you should immerse yourself in every opportunity available.
