    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Day-to-day, my role includes working with team members towards the execution of our marketing campaigns and current activities. Communication is key and my days are full of collaboration and conversation with stakeholders from across many areas of marketing within the business, as well as with external agencies and partners. In addition to this, leading our Adobe Student Ambassador program, I manage the day-to-day communication with students to ensure they are working towards program goals.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have learnt and developed an uncountable number of skills at Adobe. From soft-skills such as communication, teamwork, digital literacy, ideation, time and people management, and collaboration, to hard-skills such as the use of campaign tracking software and liaising with agencies to represent Adobe in integral campaign status and planning meetings. My time on placement has been supported with fantastic colleagues including my manager and team mates who I have grown exponentially thanks to.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I am really thankful to my team and manager for trusting me with a great amount of responsibility during this internship, which was built up gradually but rewardingly throughout the duration. From starting supporting across the team, to then owning parts of larger campaigns and then leading my own programs, I really felt as though I was given roles that I was comfortable with and excited to take on.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received a huge amount of support and guidance throughout this role, with my manager specifically being available every day, whenever I needed, for help and advice. I truly felt as though I was welcomed into the team and company with open arms since day one, and team members quickly became friends that used their own experience and skills to inform mine. I could not have asked for better communication and guidance throughout.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my placement - the role itself, the projects that I worked on, and the people that I was so lucky to spend every working day with. My manager stands out as a huge reason for this From the start, my growth was prioritised, with her and my team striving to give me as many new experiences as possible and enrich my year. I can only speak positively about it.

  • 7. Would you recommend Adobe to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Adobe
  • In full transparency, Adobe was not at the top of my list for placements when initially applying at university - but it absolutely smashed my expectations of what a placement year could involve. To others applying for Adobe, I would say to take every opportunity that you can, because there are lots of them. Be inquisitive and ask questions, and utilise the skills and knowledge of the great people around you as much as you can.
