    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Driving adoption of Adobe solutions - Strategically assessing how Adobe solutions tie into the customer's business model (thinking about both current macro-economic environment and where the business wants to be in x years) - Being the trusted advisor by putting customer interests forward in internal meetings/sessions (Relationship building) - Navigating their journey through Adobe to make it a seamless experience and ensuring value realisation.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • The main skills that I have developed are: - Critical Thinking - being able to evaluate situations and scenarios that I'm placed in to maximise the opportunity for both myself and for customers. Navigating around problems and offering creative and innovative solutions. - Confidence - often a skill overlooked, however I find myself much more able to place myself in uncomfortable situations where the unknown is far greater than the known.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Throughout my internship, I believe I had to showcase my ability to take on responsibility which is not necessarily a negative. At the beginning, I was working on smaller scale projects which progressed to larger scale and much more impactful projects as the quarters went by. I was able to speed this process up by always actively seeking for opportunities to take on more responsibility by constantly reaching out.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • From the beginning, I was introduced to my manager, mentor, and buddy who provided us with an entire guide on what our internship would entail - giving us an insight into what to expect. They also defined the roles that each individual would play, making accessing support clear. My mentor would constantly review my work to guide me accordingly, as well as the projects that I was supporting in. My buddy helped with career guidance.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture exceeded expectations and the friendly environment that I was introduced to allowed me to gel in with not only my team but the wider ecosystem. Everyone was super friendly and took time out of their day to share their expertise and tips on how to leverage our internships. There were also a vast range of diversity and inclusion initiatives which were exciting to be a part of and attend.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Adobe
  • 1. Be yourself (Most important tip, the more honest you are with yourself, the better you will do in your internship as your genuine authenticity will show and you'd be able to get involved in projects that are better suited for you) 2. Understand the space (Research the industry buzzwords, trends, and future directions as it will give you confidence when speaking to industry experts)
