    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Managed the HR inbox responding to all queries from accross the business. Once a new starter had returned their paperwork making sure they were set up on all the internal systems. Managing exit interviews for leavers. Analysed Surveys sent out for new starters and co-workers that had been in the business for 6 months.

  • My communication skills have been developed as I had to speak to a variety of co-workers from accross the business on a daily basis via zoom. My professional attitude has been developed during my placement when involved in challenging situations in which the outcome may have not be pleasant for all parties.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was responsible for managing new starter paperwork and adding them onto the internal systems. I was given ownership of administering long service award certificates and letters. Towards the end of my placements I was given the responsibility for sending out contracts and managing that they were returned in a timely manner.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I had lots of support. My manager had 121s with me every fortnight and we had goal discussions every quarter. I also had guidance from the HR advisors daily as we had a meeting every day to talk through any quieries I may of had.

  • I really enjoyed my placement. I was given so many opportunities whilst at work and it has really highlighted that I am striving for a career in HR.
