    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the virtual internship and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • A number of workshops were held, focussing on personal development and effective teaching techniques. We engaged in a debate on whether classes should be split based on ability. The final task was to produce and present a short lesson, which we then received feedback for.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual internship?
  • I really enjoyed the experience - I heard all about Teach First on a wider level and on a more personal level from teachers who participated in Teach First. There was a good emphasis on the importance of feedback and developing skills. This means that, even if I do not go into a teaching career, I feel confident that I have gained skills from taking part in this experience.
