Overview
This online taster experience took place over two days and offered insights into the mission of Teach First, the education system, how to be an effective teacher and also provided many opportunities for personal development. There were a large variety of sessions which included a debate, personal development, and even an 8 minute teaching episode.
Skills
I have become much better at self-evaluation and can now reflect on my skills and experiences in an effective manner. I also strengthened my communication and interaction skills during the many Zoom breakout rooms, as well as the debate and teaching episode.
Business Insight
Getting to know Teach First in terms of their values and mission was a very useful and interesting experience, as I found myself developing a better understanding of why the charity exists. It was made very clear how they worked as a company and what they look for in potential teacher trainees.

Everyone was very friendly and polite, the staff were really helpful and facilitated the sessions in a kind manner.
