The Role
Not every day is a walk in the park but it was always really interesting and fun!
I had a really brilliant team who I got on with on a personal level so it really helped.
Everything I found challenging was always taught to me first, and whenever I tried something new I was always given constructive feedback to help me improve.
Some days are busier than others but I had the right amount of ups and downs.
A lot of projects were handed over solely to me, it was really nice to be given the responsibility (if not a bit daunting at times!!)
I have learnt more in the last year than I have in my first two years at uni combined!
The Company
With any HR related role there are often a lot of pressures, and over the year I worked there we had a lot of big changes within the organisation - this meant sometimes things could be a bit strained.
I was given a very clear and comprehensive handover and I was given clear roles and responsibilities.
I was trained in everything - from Operations to Communications, I learnt a lot that helped me develop my skills for the future.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare from home
Obviously it is dependant on the jobs available but there is definitely a possibility.
The Culture
There was ALWAYS something to do and someone to do it with - handover is like freshers week but with early starts!!
Fairly cheap - rent is relatively standard but nights out were always reasonable.
There's only one major club but you're a short ride from London and there are lots of surrounding towns with great nightlife that are only a train or taxi away.
There were lots of charity events and things like that and events such as bowling or Zumba nights.
