    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Majority of the internship is shadowing. Depending on what desk your at, you shadow and network with the people there. On the credit s&t desk, we did trade pitches (1-2 a week). You are encouraged to leave your desk and chat with different people.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • No, no responsibility. Interns are not allowed to communicate with clients and I was learning more than I was actually working.

  • People were very willing to help, especially since I was new to finance. My managers on the different desks were awesome and we had designated mentors throughout the program.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • People were generally positive and supportive. Although not friends outside of work for the most part, they would often go for drinks after work and invite interns. Generally positive, I enjoyed the culture

  • I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Was a great summer and I've learned a ton. Truly awesome experience I recommend. Exceeds expectations and really got a feel for the company.

  • Networking is the most important thing- I didn't do spring week but I highly recommend. Try to stand out but also be yourself. Show them what is different about you.
