The Role
I really enjoyed my time at Vauxhall, met a lot of great people and taught many things that will be very useful in later working life
I got given a lot of responsibillity and had a lot of different projects to work on.
There was a very good structure at Vauxhall and had plenty of Support from my managers
My workload was a very good amount, I alway had tasks to get on with and never bored. My role included developing the HR Intranet website which always could be improved upon
I was given a lot of responsibillity in regards to my projects and the trust I was given. I was travelling across the UK giving presentations and promoting the Undergraduate Programme.
I have developed lots of skills especially in relation to Microsoft Excel and problem solving. I also learned other things about my self and things to improve upon
The Company
I had a good team that were very easy to talk to.
There is a set structure of how the year will go at Vauxhall and with 108 Undergraduates there is clear processes in place to make sure everything is organised thoroughly.
I received many different types of training, including Targeted Selection Interviewing, Safe Driving, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Sharepoint, Presentation and all other relating to my job
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I am not sure as this changes every year. But they take their Graduates from their Undergraduate pool.
The Culture
Very good social scene with over 80 UG's in the Bedfordshire area there was lots of activities going on. I lived in a mansion with 9 others during my time there and we had some great nights out and trips.
Luton is quite cheap to live in my rent including bills in the said above mansion was £330, relatively cheap for the qualitiy of house
Luton wasnt the best night out but there are a lot of good places around for example Milton Keynes and Watford and also London is only a 25 minute train.
We had lots of activities outside of work, there was company 5-a-side twice a week, a weekend foorball and rugby team to get involved in. There is a gym next door. Plus we could go to London easily so there is plenty of stuff to do.
