    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Day-to-day work was never boring, the firm gives you an amazing opportunity to sit in 2 practice seats and activities set include drafting documents, attending client meeting and legal research. I sat in Lit and Reg in my first week and IPT in my second. But the firm also cares that you ask questions and it is encouraged to have coffees with people from your department and this was extremely useful in helping me decide that DLA is a people person firm which I want to be a part of.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • Extremely interesting, the practice group talks throughout the weeks were especially useful in hearing for the chairs of each of the firms practice groups and being able to ask questions. Also sitting in seats and experiencing the day to day work of the firm has already developed my commercial awareness and understanding of DLA as a firm.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • As a Warwick law student I had already been exposed to the firms amazing Pro Bono practice but the internship emphasised to me how the firm doesn't just care about Pro Bono but ESG and Diversity and Inclusion along with all other people initiatives. This shows me this firm really cares about its employees and their wellbeing which stands out to me.
