Overview
Each day involved working within the team you were placed in for the week, conducting typical trainee tasks such as drafting ancillary documents. We also had daily insight talks that allowed us to build our knowledge of the different practice areas at the firm.
Skills
I have learnt how to utilise legal technology in conjunction with drafting documents. I have also built on my networking skills and been able to work on my oral communication skills.
Business Insight
It was an extremely insightful experience, that allowed me to gain clarity over how hierarchical teams within the firm operate. Notably, how trainee's, associates and partners work together on different parts of the same deal.
Culture
Very friendly and welcoming environment. Everybody is happy to take the time to have a chat with you whether it be about the work you are doing or about yourself as a person.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was able to get a feel for what life at the firm would be like.
Yes
Don't be scared about sharing your experiences and be proud of what has brought you to where you are now. There is a plethora of different experiences at the firm and everyone's route to working there is different.
