Overview
As an academy participant, we were given several group activities, a presentation, and a very enjoyable client dialogue to work on during the Business of Law week.
Skills
I developed strong communication and collaboration skills through the many exciting presentation, client dialogue, and networking opportunities.
Responsibilities
Unlike other vac schemes, I felt that the CMS Academy gives a lot of responsibility. Most notably, we had the opportunity to speak to some of the firm's major clients.
Support & Guidance
We received great feedback and guidance by the CMS graduate recruitment and IT team. All questions and concerns were promptly answered.
Culture
Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. I felt included during all the activities and really enjoyed collaborating with my team as well as the wider firm network.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement- particularly all the networking opportunities we had to meet the firm, the clients, and the rest of the other vac schemers
Yes
I would recommend to do a lot of research into the firm's sector-specific areas and also think how you align with the firm's values (ie: relationship leading, future-facing)
