Overview
My role involved all of the resource management tasks for an account within IBM including security clearances, onboarding, offboarding and finding resources to fill vacancies. In addition, if projects needed support with finances, I would help with this also
Skills
Yes definitely. I have learnt so many new skills especially technical knowledge as IBM has a great learning platform. Alongside technical knowledge and business acumen, I have gained many soft skills such as communication, delegation, team work and perseverance.
Responsibilities
I was given more responsibility than I imagined with very important tasks and responsibilities such as dealing with high value contracts.
Support & Guidance
I received lots of support as you have 2 managers- a task manager and a foundation manager- everyone else at ibm is also very supportive and always happy to help.
Culture
It was brilliant- there was lots of communities for the interns to get involved and lots of events to attend
