Overview
My day-to-day varies depending on my current activities, if i'm on a project I'm busy with development or demos using IBM offerings, If i'm not on a project it is a bit quieter allowing me to complete additional training allowing me to be involved on additional projects
Skills
I've learnt many new skills, using IBM Integration technology like API Connect, App Connect Enterprise etc. I've gained skills with RedHat OpenShift, I've also did independent learning developed on my skills like React.js and Next.js.
Responsibilities
Yes I've was given lead on one project for website development, I was also given responsibility during projects being put on independent tasks with trust i would complete these crucial tasks required for the project to be complete.
Support & Guidance
I was given plenty of support by both my managers as well as my mentors during my placement. I was given support by everyone in the company, any time i asked for help all were happy to help and were all super approachable.
Culture
The company's employees were all super approachable and friendly and always happy to get you involved on project allowing you to gain experience and all wanted you to succeed
Your Impressions
I enjoyed all parts of my placement as it was all new and challenging and i've never had any experience with this technology so this was amazing to use this amazing technology.
Yes
Not many will have experience with their technology so others applying should not find that daunting as IBM will provide them with training all they'd look for is your eagernesses to learn
