    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I have been working within IBM consulting for the UKI and Nordics HR Business Development team, responsible for handling talent aspects including employment legislation such as TUPE as well as IBM specific policies/processes. I assist engagement and transition managers with acquisitions, divestures, outsources and integrations, as well as owning onboarding/offboarding activities. Depending on what stage the deal is at, my daily tasks consist of; taking minutes in consultations, issuing transfer letters, assisting employees with onboarding documentation, collecting employee data using Workday and DMS, sending communications via the department Task ID and conducting Proof of Eligibility checks. These all involve working with colleagues globally as well as directly with external clients. I also interact with other HR divisions such as immigration and compensation, helping develop my broader knowledge of HR.
