    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

    • It was a 3 day programme that was aimed to provide an insight into DLA Piper. Activities involved talks from lawyers at various stages in the firm, talks from graduate recruitment and an interactive case study exercise.

    • Yes, I was able to develop my critical thinking skills during the case study exercise. I developed my networking skills through speaking to trainees, partners and graduate recruitment.

    • It was great to hear in-depth about DLA Piper and its strategy and values. We were given a comprehensive overview of roles available, such as next steps and future applications.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

    • The culture and general atmosphere was great and everyone involved from DLA Piper in the scheme was very enthusiastic and welcoming. Social events were also great, such as dinner in a restaurant and other social opportunities to get to know fellow interns.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I greatly enjoyed the insight. The team were great and the culture was very immersive. There perhaps could've been some more interactive work and a more in-depth coverage of some sectoral work in the firm, however overall my expectations were met. I would go back.
