  • My day-to-day role includes customer service, sales, and overall business management. I am learning on the job how to successfully run a business in a hands on way.

  • I have had customer service based roles previously, but Enterprise have given me the opportunity to really expand and practice this skill whilst learning from other people. I have never had experience actually running a business before and this role is the perfect opportunity for that.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I have been given as much responsibility as I’ve been willing to take. The internship is all about training you to become a manager, and you get a lot of practice before it gets to that point. I’ve been given a lot of responsibility with customers to give them the best experience possible. I get as much responsibility as everyone else, which really helps me to feel important as part of the team.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I had a lot of support and guidance from everyone in my branch. The managers are super helpful, but so are the other trainees in the office. We all have a training folder to complete and everyone works to help each other with this. Not only did I have colleagues in my office, I also had a mentor that I had one to one meetings with based on my progression.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The office environment can get very busy and there’s always something to get stuck into. Enterprise is a very diverse company that celebrates people from all backgrounds, so it’s really nice to work in such a diverse environment.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • My placement was really enjoyable. It was so good to learn so much in the year, but the people at work are what really made it great. It’s so good to think about how much of a head start this placement has given me in my career. I’ve gained so many transferable skills that I can use in whatever I do now.

  • The best bit of advice I can give is to be ready to throw yourself into the role. Everyone at Enterprise gets the same opportunities to do well, so you get as much out of it as you put in.
