    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed my time here. Had an amazing year and don't think i could have asked for anything more. Although it may not be the industry in actuarial work that i want to end up in, it has been a brilliant experience!

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone in the team were so welcoming and never made me feel out of place. Any time I asked I question they didn't just tell me how to do stuff but why to do it that way, which meant that in the future there was more chance I wouldn't need to ask the same question. Had some great social nights out with the team and the whole office!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Very supportive, they constantly gave feedback which was useful.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Liked getting responsibility, would have liked to have been given more at times

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Although i may go into a different industry within actuarial work in the future, the skills I gained generally are phenomenal; with regards to Excel skills, applying taught knowledge from university, office etiquette, technical skills and personal skills.
