The Role
Really enjoyed my time here. Had an amazing year and don't think i could have asked for anything more. Although it may not be the industry in actuarial work that i want to end up in, it has been a brilliant experience!
Everyone in the team were so welcoming and never made me feel out of place. Any time I asked I question they didn't just tell me how to do stuff but why to do it that way, which meant that in the future there was more chance I wouldn't need to ask the same question. Had some great social nights out with the team and the whole office!
Very supportive, they constantly gave feedback which was useful.
In general there was a good balance of work.
Liked getting responsibility, would have liked to have been given more at times
Although i may go into a different industry within actuarial work in the future, the skills I gained generally are phenomenal; with regards to Excel skills, applying taught knowledge from university, office etiquette, technical skills and personal skills.
The Company
Within our team in particular, we had some great days in the office! Had some good banter!

The Culture
Fellow colleagues on my team and other teams in the office. some great nights out!
Very expensive! London in general is very expensive!!
Very central so there's some great bars and clubs around St Pauls, Bank, Liverpool St etc, and even a few within walking distance.
there were quite a few charity events like pub quizzes, Capita Summer Ball, Christmas Party etc. Also, opportunity for men to join a football team.
