    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Learnt more about Shoosmiths and the different practice areas the firm excels in. We were also tasked with example exercises throughout the days that would mirror the Training Contract assessment centre ranging from a group exercise, an individual task and a presentation. We were provided with detailed feedback that proved invaluable at the subsequent stages.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I had never participated in a group exercise prior to the virtual placement so I found this exercise to be highly informative and insightful. Discussing a task with new people on an online platform initially felt a little out of my comfort zone but by the end of the task I found I had thoroughly enjoyed myself and was provided with very good feedback.
