    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The role itself is a sales and customer service role, you will serve Enterprise customers who are booking vehicles through the website, receiving a courtesy car or through work while working in a fun and busy team of likeminded people. Alongside your role, you complete a management development programme that trains you in all areas of business management with the opportunity to receive a £500 bonus if you complete the programme within 10 months

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • You are trained in all areas of business management and you really do learn how to run a business, i personally developed sales and customer service skills and learned how to negotiate well and work within a fast paced team. I also could never understand finance from university but Enterprise helped me see finance and accounting in practice and now this is a skill I’m very good at

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, there is no difference between an intern and a graduate in terms of responsibility or role, everyone is treated the same and you aren’t made to feel different because you’re younger and less experienced. Alongside my role, I managed 6 corporate accounts which I was surprised I was trusted with due to the importance of this role

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • You get a lot of support from managers and from all corporate staff due to an open door policy allowing you to speak to whoever you want, whenever you want. Everyone is assigned a mentor from different levels of the company who meets with you regularly and is always there to help and support. I also was involved in the female focus group which I found so helpful and got a lot of support from.
