  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My team supports the management system of technical sales across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Jobs vary quite a lot depending on the time of year etc., but overall I assist with multiple technical programmes, and support the management of executives and the overall team.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • There is so much to learn at IBM, that I think even after being in the company for multiple years there will always be something new to learn. I have developed skills in Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, improved programming skills, and these weren't actually a part of my day to day job. I have also developed skills in event management, improved my excel/data skills and overall grown in confidence.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Having an early professional manager in place to help with any support and guidance needed was great, as there is always somebody who is able to help. My day to day manager is always happy to provide support/answer questions, as is everybody in the company. Every person I've reached out to for support has always been happy to help.
