Overview
One week of learning about roles in Global Data and Analytics and Sales. Day-to-day would involve different learning sessions on different roles as well as activities + project time.
Skills
Definitely, in preparation I learnt a lot about finance through Bloomberg Market Concepts. And during the week itself I developed my Bloomberg Terminal skills (although they were non-existent before).
Business Insight
It was really exciting learning about the different roles at Bloomberg! The people there are so nice and helpful, and you can tell that Bloomberg is a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The roles involve a variety of things too, so you're bound to find at least one aspect you'll like.
Culture
Company culture was super, super cool! There was a real buzz at the company and you could tell employees work in a very collaborative fashion. Employees also explained about the many different ways they hang out after work as well.
Your Impressions
Immensely enjoyed it, very sad the week is over! You could tell a lot of thought was put into planning the week: every activity moved seamlessly to the next.
Yes
Know your resume and create a good narrative for yourself. In other words, really use your experiences to show why you love finance and why you would be a good fit. Like I saw someone write about getting into Bloomberg: Fit is everything, show enthusiasm and come prepared to the interview.
