• Working with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure well rounded knowledge of the retail channel. • Gain detailed knowledge of the large appliance market including competition, opportunities and challenges. • Understand the national trade marketing calendar, contribute to the activation of national campaigns and analyze performance to give insight into future planning. • Assist with retailer specific projects i.e. product launches, marketing campaigns, and digital content. • Liaise with external agencies both promotional and creative in order to achieve a specified brief. • Be a point of contact for all trade marketing enquiries.
The skills I have been able to develop throughout my placement year are communication skills through lisasing with external agencies. Commercial awarenness as I have been able to analyse the large appliance market. Problem solving, attention to detail and initiative have been key.
Yes, within my role I was given the opportunity to contribute my ideas and work independently as well as a part of the team on various projects.
I recieved a great level of support from my managers as well as the company in general. A good amount of training was given at the start of the placement and this carried on throughout the year.
