    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The 2- day session began from 9:30 am - 5:15pm/6:00pm with regular breaks between every session. The first day involved Ice breaker sessions, understanding the Taster programme and what is expected of us, getting into groups to prepare for a debate about the issues faced by the Education system in UK, filling out the handbook after every task that we've completed as a form of self-reflection and preparing for mini-lesson.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed the Taster Online programme very much as it allowed me to get a wider perspective, actively participate as well as improve my skills as someone with an interest for teaching. • 7. Would you recommend Teach First to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Teach First
  • It is important to understand the orgsnisation's core values and interests. It is also essential to be willing to interact and participate as there are many networking and group activities. Time management and prioritisation is essential as this is only a 2-day programme and preparation is key for a mini-lesson and the debates/discussions. Overall, with very less preparation, one can still enjoy the programme as everyone is given a brief understanding before sessions.
