Overview
A two-day experience of what the Teach First Degree is like. It includes different interactive sessions that introduce the work Teach First do, opportunities available, and allow participants to reflect on their qualities. There were also a debate session and a mini teaching experience.
Skills
Yes. The guidance and opportunity they gave me to reflect on the debate session and mini teaching session was very useful. I developed my planning and organisation, communication, reflection and analytical skills.
Business Insight
It is really helpful for finding further opportunities and develop my understanding of the whole industry.
Culture
They have a friendly, open, understanding, and productive culture. People are really engaged and active.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the experience to a large extent. It gave me some hands-on experience on teaching and many insights into how to become better at it. The whole experience is really comprehensive and well-thought. I really enjoyed it. Just that sitting at the computer for a long time it quite tiring and not that healthy. This might be a dumb idea but maybe they can add some exercising session to refresh our attention.
