Overall, my placement year at Enterprises Rent A Car was very enjoyable. From accomplishing goals in your training book, to making customers happy, to achieving a sales goal. Every day is different and unpredictable. It is a fast paced environment and every day brings new challenges and achievements. The level of satisfaction at the end of each day is unmatched to any previous job I have had. The teams that I worked with were always supportive, encouraging and up for a good time.
At enterprise your team is like your family. I became very close to my colleagues and always felt appreciated and valued even when I was brand new. The teams that I was a part of always carried contagious enthusiasm and made every day a pleasure even when things didn’t go to plan. The people that I met became a significant part of my life during my placement year a d have become some of my best friends.
Throughout my year at enterprise the managers that oi worked with and my colleagues were consistently supportive and appreciative of my work, even when I was brand new. All managers would take every opportunity to help me progress further in my training by taking time out of their day to assist me in my progression. I had a couple of different managers throughout my time at enterprise and even the area manager showed personal involvement in my progression and training as a management trainee in the company.
The rental aspect of enteprise requires people who are able to thrive in a fast paced environment. From checking in customers to securing rentals and marketing for the company there is always something to do. The rental aspect of the company ensures that every day is different and there is never a boring moment. As a management trainee you are always busy focusing on your progression and understanding of the business, even when the branch has reservations.
From the very first day as a management trainee at enterprise you are trusted with responsibility. You are not only solely responsible for your progression in the business but also upholding the reputation of enterprise in every thing aspect of your day. The level of responsibility I was trusted with throughout my year as an intern has increased my confidence as an individual and has allowed me to progress and build on my interpersonal skills.
The skills I developed throughout my year as a management trainee intern has given me the confidence I need to successfully finish my degree. The skills I learned throughout my year has helped me develop my time management and organisational abilities which has allowed me to exceed in my studies and will enable me to progress further in my career. I feel that the intern programme at enterprise has shaped me into the person that I am today.
Throughout my year at enterprise rent a car I worked with many different teams, all of which were consistently encouraging and supportive. The level of enthusiasm from managers and colleagues was inspirational and created a happy work environment every day. From the very first day as a trainee I was a welcomed and equally valued employee. The enthusiasm of all employees in the branches created a welcoming a atmosphere for customers and contributed to a consistently enjoyable year.
The management internship programme at enterprise was constantly well organised and thorough. The continuous training throughout the year and the level of involvement from all managers made me feel very valued and respected as an intern. The training programme was relevant and up to date ensuring all aspects of the business were covered and available to learn. The comparison of my internship progression to my course mates who were working with other companies was unmatchable in the level of detail and dedication from enteprise.
The level of training that I received from colleagues and managers was consistent and thorough. As someone who doesn’t learn as quickly as others I felt confident and at ease in asking for help from my team and other colleagues. The training programme and consistant level of investment in the interns showed from all enterprise employees helped me feel valued and respected throughout the year. The level of structure in the internship programme formed the base of my learning and development as an individual.
Since completing my year at enteprise I have been informed of all future position that are available. There are a range of opportunities for employment in the company, from human resource departments to rental jobs I am excited to have enterprise as an option for a future career. Currently I am still working at enterprise as a campus brand manager at my university which is helping me to further progress my interpersonal skills and develop as an individual.
The managers made every effort to hold social events. Throughout the year I attended many social events from branch dinners to area night outs. Enterprise as a company host a Christmas ball with all enterprise branches in neighbouring areas which was personally one of the highlights of my year. I attended the winter ball and managed to network in a pressure free environment. Enterprise live by a saying; “work hard, play hard” which was reflected throughout my time as an intern.
The place that I lived had expensive accommodation and the town was not very established. Having said that enterprise made every effort to host social events and ensure everyone was comfortable in their personal lives.
The night life in the area that I worked was not as good as some other areas but as I was not far from bristol it was not impossible. The lack of night life did not prevent me from socialising with any of my colleagues as there were constant events being organised to socialise neighbouring branches.
The act activities outside of work were your own responsibility to get involved in. Enterprise encouraged socialising outside of work which all employees were consistently up for. Personally I also joined a gym which I have always been passionate about and was able to continue with during my placement year.
