About You
I very much enjoyed all facets of the Taster Experience.
I felt very valued as someone interested in the Teach First Training programme during the virtual Taster Experience. The social evening after the first day helped to consolidate that feeling.
I am very grateful for the considerable support I received on the virtual Taster experience.
Whilst I don't think the skills will assist in my degree studies, I am certain that they will help me both during actual Teach First assessment scenarios and in the classroom (if I am successful in becoming a teacher!)
The Company
It was a well structured programme. The only thing I would say is that the breaks during the day were too short (I assume due to the quantity of material and activities that needed to be covered). Perhaps this is something that can be improved for future years?
It was a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the 2 days of the virtual Taster experience! It was fantastic to be able to meet such a wide range of people from different backgrounds who are all interested in teaching. The team exercises and social time were key factors in making this happen.
The personal training came through experiences such as the team debate exercises and I felt that Teach First directly invested in me when I received feedback for presenting my lesson to my peers.
It helped me a lot and Teach First were constantly emphasising their core competencies throughout the Taster experience.

The content during the Taster experience was invaluable and I am very grateful for the experience, as it has confirmed that I would like to pursue a career in teaching after graduating from University.

N/A
Yes, there were plenty of opportunities. I was able to meet other participants of the virtual experience in breakout rooms during team exercises but also during the social event after the first day.
Whilst there was a social event after the first day of the Taster experience, I feel that there could have been more time made for speaking with other participants and networking in a relaxed manner.
Yes - the panel of current Teach First ambassadors and hearing them talk about the work they are doing with corporate partners was particularly useful. Meeting the partnering tutoring companies was also insightful.
