    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • Very well organised. The virtual learning before the online course prepared us well for the (online) face to face sessions. I liked that we still got to deliver lesson episodes to develop our teaching skills even if it wasn’t in front of a classroom.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. They explained everything well and made sure we were comfortable. They were very understanding about any technology issues.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • Lots of support available.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The course was very helpful in providing information about a teaching career after my degree. Only reason it’s not a 10 is that the course won’t really help me to complete my degree.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • Very well structured. Timetables were sent out before the event and covered during a welcome talk the week prior and at the beginning of the course. Ample breaks were given.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • Very supportive. They gave lots of opportunities for us to interact with the other students. There was also a social quiz and debate during the course that were good fun.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They gave the same opportunities to everybody. Feedback was given throughout the course to improve development

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • We had as much practice teaching as possible with it being online. We heard from past and current trainees with Teach First which gave us an insight. It’s only not 10 because with it being online we couldn’t really understand fully.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the virtual experience help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Everyone was very friendly. We heard from lots of currents and past trainees about their experiences with the company.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Lots of great information delivered

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • No need. It didn’t cost anything.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Not one on one time but we did hear from other employees and get to ask questions.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Great social opportunities with other students.

    5/5
