About You
At first, I was sceptical about the quality of the virtual programme. However, the Early Careers Team did an amazing job with providing us with interesting and interactive content. The programme was very educative and a lot of fun.
I did feel valued, as Deutsche Bank had fully committed to giving us an equally educative Spring Into Banking program. I was very impressed with how well the Early Careers Team took care of us and the interest they had towards the Spring Interns. As it was a virtual programme, it was understandably challenging to interact fully with each participant.
If any of the participants had a question, they could ask it whenever they wanted to in the chat box. The system worked well. Additionally, instructions were given regularly and it was not hard to follow along.
Although the programme was only two days long, it was fully packed with interesting information. I learnt a great deal and believe, that I will benefit from what I learnt in my studies.
The Company
The instructors were very helpful and supportive. Everyone had a chance to answer or ask questions and the interns often gave feedback to each other.
Although it was just an Insight program, I was impressed by the quality of it. I was left with the impression, that Deutsche Bank truly values its employees and is willing to invest in their development.
The virtual experience gave me a better understanding of what I could work with within the company. However, it was more the Buddy Program which gave me better understanding of what it would be like to work at Deutsche Bank. The Buddy told me what the atmosphere is like, what day-to-day looks like at the bank and how challenging the work really is.
The program contained a lot of information about Deutsche Bank as an organization. I learnt more about the culture of the Bank from the Virtual Buddy.
I was already fairly certain, that I wanted to work within the Financial Services Industry. The programme provided me with a confirmation of this wish. It became more clear to me, that it is a career within finance I wish to pursue.
Everything Else
The opportunities for networking were fairly limited, understandably. I did get in touch with a couple of the interns, but not nearly as many as I had hoped.
There was very little talk of activities outside of work, which Deutsche Bank would provide access to.
Yes. It was great as a virtual programme: I can only imagine how it would have been if organised physically.
