About You
Personally I really enjoyed being part of this spring insight program, I was concerned and sad when I first got the email that it will be canceled. After the two days that I spent with the fellow interns and the graduate team, I was amazed by how good and useful the program was. I enjoyed especially the combination of personal development and technical knowledge provided.
Not only that I felt valued but I felt that I was very much respected by everyone in the company. I did not feel like an outsider, it was like I was working for DB for years. The team made it a pleasure and I still can't believe how wonderful I was treated by the employees who have so much more knowledge and expertise in this industry. This made me feel welcome.
The insight was very interactive even though it was held online. All my questions were answered and I always felt that the team wanted to give everything for us to understand the products/different teams/culture.
I think I will always remember what [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] told us about first impression and how we can improve the human interactions that we will have in the future. The information from the Investment Banking division was incredibly valuable as well and I think that no university finance course can be thought to you in this depth about the products that are available.
The Company
The structure was good. It was very balanced and I never felt bored or distracted. There were enough brakes in which we could relax, but they were not too long, so we never lost the rhythm.
The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. I felt safe talking to the graduate team and I knew I can ask them anything I was interested in. I never felt like an outsider.
They provided lots of workshops and talked about their own experiences. This was very valuable for me and I learned a lot from them.
The panel talk offered me enough information to make an idea about the daily tasks in the company and how it would be to have a full-time job there. Nevertheless, the buddy program helped me ask more questions and have great conversations about the workplace and their free time.
I can say that now I understand very well the culture in Deutsche Bank.
It was incredibly valuable and answered lots of questions that I had previously to this. Now I am assured that I want to start my career in finance.
Everything Else
There weren't a lot of networking opportunities to meet people from DB, but this was very much understandable giving the conditions that we had. Although I can say that I have met the employees and they were great and I am very happy that I had a chance to talk to them.
Given that it was an online insight I did succeed to socialize with other interns.
Yes, I have learned a lot about what the employees do outside their work.
I would definitely do that!
